Lunar authority and Reflectors

What does lunar authority and reflectors describe in a Human Design chart? Learn the distinction, an everyday example and common misunderstandings.

Meaning in the chart

For Reflectors, the system describes observing a major, non-urgent option across roughly one lunar cycle, about 28–29 days. The theme is to avoid using one day's influence as the measure of a lasting choice. Everyday small tasks do not require this waiting period.

An everyday example

For a non-urgent move, record the place, practical conditions and your impressions on different days. Which reasons remain when you revisit the same question? The exercise explores how one pleasant or difficult day may not represent the whole option.

A common misunderstanding

The lunar-cycle theme does not mean postponing every email or everyday task for weeks. Consider deadlines and daily responsibilities. A Reflector can have active gates; having no defined centers does not mean an empty chart.

A small reflection exercise

For a major non-urgent option, record impressions on different days, talk them through and revisit the notes. Include actual deadlines and conditions in your assessment.

How does this option appear on different days and in different environments?

How do you find your authority?

Create a chart with your birth date, time and city, then check its authority field. Authority is not selected through a behavior questionnaire. Type describes an approach to an opportunity; authority describes its assessment. Read the interpretation alongside circumstances and experience.
