Use five cards to reflect on needs, sharing, boundaries and a next step in relationships. Read symbolic interpretations alongside actual conversations and mutual behaviour.
Calculation and interpretation method
The original deck contains 22 major and 56 minor arcana. You select cards from a shuffled deck without repeating a card within one spread. Orientation is random when reversed cards are enabled; otherwise cards are read upright. Selection serves a symbolic reflection exercise.
Open five positions into a mutual conversation
Read the positions for your need, reciprocity, boundary, shared space and next step separately. Treat each card as a question for your experience rather than an answer about another person's feelings. For reciprocity, record recent support given and received; for the boundary, identify what you want discussed. A next step becomes a shared experiment only when the other person accepts the conversation or behaviour too.
Collapsing five positions into one relationship outcome can lose detail. Begin with one need and check that it is understood. Future commitment, return or fidelity is not automatically known from the cards; leave room for the actual conversation's answer.
The card, orientation and spread position
A card's theme, its spread position and its upright or reversed reading contribute together. Explore inward attention or a difficulty with the theme rather than treating reversal as simply a negative outcome. Cards do not repeat within one spread; a new spread makes another random selection. The Met source explains history and structure, while the original questions here belong to Starmora's reading method. A note combining your question, card and actual experience can make the symbol more concrete.
