Calculation and interpretation method

The calculation uses geocentric tropical ecliptic longitudes at the selected UTC instant. A sign is a 30-degree longitude interval. The direction of daily longitude change indicates retrograde or direct motion. Natal houses, an ascendant and personality conclusions are not inferred from the shared sky.

Look closely at one degree

Choose the Moon in the table, read its sign and degree, then locate its marker in the wheel. The degree describes a position measured from the sign's beginning. Select the same UTC time on the following day and compare the Moon's movement. When two markers appear close, check their actual longitudes rather than relying on visual distance alone. This helps distinguish the datum represented by the drawing from marker spacing used for readability.

Record the Moon phase beside it. These observations show that a sign change and a new or full Moon are different events. If calculating elsewhere, first confirm the correct conversion into UTC. Compare the same numerical instant rather than only looking for a similar picture.

Reading the displayed moment accurately

The sky table gives geocentric tropical longitudes for one selected moment. Sharing a sign does not mean sharing a degree; Moon phase, Moon sign and illuminated fraction are different data too. Match the UTC instant and zodiac when comparing services. This shared wheel has no natal houses. To relate it to your own chart, open personal transits using a stored natal chart and distinguish the current degree from the degree fixed at birth.
