Calculation and interpretation method

The original deck contains 22 major and 56 minor arcana. You select cards from a shuffled deck without repeating a card within one spread. Orientation is random when reversed cards are enabled; otherwise cards are read upright. Selection serves a symbolic reflection exercise.

Distinguish three times in one account

Read the positions for what comes from the past, the present situation and what may be carried forward in order. Add a real example to each: a learned habit, a current need and a small option to try. Treat the third card as a question about a behaviour you may choose to continue rather than a certain future. The sequence helps reveal how a card can open another question in another position.

The past position does not calculate a forgotten event; you supply remembered experience. Record the result after trying a small future-facing option. Combining three cards into a sentence does not make that sentence something that must occur in the outside world.

The card, orientation and spread position

A card's theme, its spread position and its upright or reversed reading contribute together. Explore inward attention or a difficulty with the theme rather than treating reversal as simply a negative outcome. Cards do not repeat within one spread; a new spread makes another random selection. The Met source explains history and structure, while the original questions here belong to Starmora's reading method. A note combining your question, card and actual experience can make the symbol more concrete.
