Calculation and interpretation method

Planetary longitudes at the selected instant are compared with stored natal longitudes. Actual separation and orb are shown for conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions. A transiting planet's house is calculated from the actual cusps of the house system in your natal chart.

Begin with one transit

Choose a chart and a moment, then open one transit aspect. Read the two degrees being compared. A contact between Mercury and natal Saturn might open a question about the checks used before expressing a thought. Bring a concrete example from a recent conversation: was information missing, was time limited, or was a clearer request needed? Keep the observed conditions beside the interpretive theme.

Note the orb and motion label together. Select another time and observe which datum changes; the natal degree should remain fixed. Finish the reading with one observation you can complete rather than taking on many themes at once.

Natal data and current motion

Natal degrees remain fixed while transit positions change with the selected instant. A transiting planet's natal house uses your chart's actual cusps rather than solar houses inferred from a Sun sign. Applying and separating describe motion towards or away from exactness. When birth time is approximate, read positions near a house cusp alongside that uncertainty. A small orb is not a numerical measure of psychological influence or the probability of an event.
