Ego Projected authority

What does ego projected authority describe in a Human Design chart? Learn the distinction, an everyday example and common misunderstandings.

Meaning in the chart

This authority is considered alongside the Projector strategy. Having your contribution recognized does not mean every invitation must be accepted. Distinguish your actual wish from the effort to meet someone else's expectations.

An everyday example

For a consulting invitation, ask exactly what is expected. Recognition may feel welcome, but consider separately whether you want the proposed work. Clear responsibilities, timing and authority give you a concrete option to assess.

A common misunderstanding

Ego Projected and Ego Manifested both concern Will themes but describe different chart configurations. Receiving an invitation does not require accepting it. Keep the distinction between being able to meet an expectation and wanting to take it on.

A small reflection exercise

Clarify what an invitation asks of you. Explain what you want and what you can offer in separate statements.

Does this invitation include my own wish, or only someone else's expectation?

How do you find your authority?

Create a chart with your birth date, time and city, then check its authority field. Authority is not selected through a behavior questionnaire. Type describes an approach to an opportunity; authority describes its assessment. Read the interpretation alongside circumstances and experience.
